fairy tail clock

The ticking of the clock
An urgent reminder
That time is passing,
Even as we speak.

That growing pile
Of lengthy assignments
And the dreaded word
We all hate to hear:

Hand it to me tomorrow, please.
Complete this within a week.
I want this submitted by the end of the day.
Remember this, collect this…

The deadlines that haunt us,
But worse still,
The master of temptation,
The great master Procrastination,
Beckons me.

The perplexing pressure,
The costly laziness,
The fear of getting scolded,
And that churning frustration.

I think I’ll take
A little breather,
Before I break down
From this madness
We call stress.
