Not being calm and collected,
I fly into a state of panic
When overwhelmed by
The boulder of stress.

The fact that I’ve actually
Survived through this mess,
I admit I’m indebted
To many kind-hearted friends.

When time was ticking
And urgency on the rise,
Their kind gestures
Were a pleasant surprise.

Instead of ignoring me
Or playing pretend,
They pulled me out
From the sinking quicksand.

Their words of encouragement,
And their actual actions
Speaking louder than words,
A lifebuoy in the stormy sea.

They may not see
The significance of their actions,
But I am truly grateful
For the help they have given.
